Come forage with me

I’m Julie Hancox, a registered nutritional therapist with a love of foraging. I’ll guide you in identifying edible plants safely and confidently, so you feel at ease even if you’re completely new.

Foraged plants are packed with nutrients and grow all around us for free. I’ll show you simple ways to use them in everyday meals, backed by nutritional science. These walks are also a chance to slow down, get outside, and enjoy being present in nature. They’re as good for your head as they are for your plate.

Foraging FAQs

Got a question about foraging walks? I’ve got the answers.

All plant foraging walks currently take place in the Guildford area, in the future new areas may be added.

Join my newsletter to be the first to know about new foraging dates and locations, and follow me on social media.

The walks I generally lead are on rough terrain and do not have any paved paths, so these walks would not be suitable for anyone requiring a wheelchair. If you require a walking stick, you may be comfortable to attend a 90-minute foraging walk.

If you are disabled, or if you are part of a group who have disabilities and would like to have a plant foraging experience, please get in touch to find out what might be possible. I am open to looking at variations of my walks and ways they can be adapted to increase accessibility.

I’m afraid not. I love dogs, but not everyone does and as the focus of the walk is on foraging, it’s better to leave the paws behind. If you have a guide dog or a therapy dog, please get in touch directly so we can discuss whether a foraging walk could work for you.

Sorry, there are no refunds available. You may be able to transfer your booking. Please get in touch.

Yes, this can be done right up to 48 hours before a walk. Please contact me directly to organise this.

If you cannot attend due to illness or circumstances outside of your control, please email a minimum of 48 hours before the walk and I will do my best to transfer your booking to another date within 12 weeks of the original booking. Please note that this is subject to availability. If the walks are fully booked, this will not be possible. Email me.
